"Make it Easier: Design Your Landscape with Native Plants!" w/Speaker Chris Pax
Chris Pax, a master landscape designer with Annapolis Native Landscape, will cover easy tips for making your landscape more beneficial to wildlife by using native plants and design techniques.
Chris Pax, a master landscape designer with Annapolis Native Landscape is slated to speak for one of the Lower Shore Land Trust’s Native Landscaping Series Events. The event, titled “Make it Easier: Design Your Landscape with Native Plants” will cover tips for making your landscape more beneficial to wildlife by using native plants and design techniques.
Chris has a master's degree in sustainable landscape design from George Washington University and served for 3 years on the board of the Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council. Since 2006 she has operated Annapolis Native Landscape Design. Chris has worked with numerous homeowners to design beautiful, intriguing solutions to landscape problems.
She publishes live podcasts, writes a garden newsletter and teaches online classes featuring native landscape methods. https://www.annapolisnativelandscape.com/.Three of her clients’ landscapes were featured in the 2018 Eastern Shore garden tour, “Celebrating Natives: A Fall Garden Tour.” The “Celebrating Natives” tour focuses on sustainable approaches to Chesapeake gardening and the importance of using native plants in restoring balance to the ecosystem.
Chris was co-founder and Lead Designer of the Native Landscape Design Center at Adkins Arboretum and worked in that capacity for 6 years. She is in demand as a speaker on native design-related topics for various groups and organizations, including the Maryland Master Gardeners, several Community Colleges, numerous county Master Gardener organizations, and garden clubs in Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
